I had a town hall.&#8221; &#8220;30% of housing on public land must be affordable.&#8221; &nbsp;&#8220;We&#8217;ve been able to gather a lot of good feedback.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><i>The reality: <\/i>There is no known townhall ever held by Brianne Nadeau getting any feedback or explaining the rationale for changing the Comprehensive Plan land use map for 1617 U Street. And, there is no evidence the required impact studies were done to accompany these changes to the land use map.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>In fact, a great many Ward One residents wrote to Councilmember Nadeau demanding she retract her last minute largely undiscussed surprise changes to DC&#8217;s Future Land Use Map in spring 2021.&nbsp; <b><b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dcfeedback.com\/fit2print\/dc\/600\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">See letter here.<\/a><\/b><\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-left: 40px;\">Again, there has never been a &#8220;town hall&#8221; hosted by Coucilmember Nadeau about changing 1617 U Street to high-density downtown-sized zoning on this public land and no one in the surrounding low-rise historic districts has been addressed directly by Nadeau.&nbsp; Also, no one knows of the &#8220;good feedback&#8221; that Nadeau references in response to the question above.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>Brianne Nadeau:<\/b> &#8220;The [1617 U Street] property is not in an historic district, so it will not go to HPRB.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/live\/4tBTbNxMRw4?feature=share&amp;t=3994\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/live\/4tBTbNxMRw4?feature=share&amp;t=3994<\/a><\/div>\n<div>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4tBTbNxMRw4?start=3994\" title=\"YouTube video player\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen=\"\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><b>ANC1B opens for questions from the public &#8212; Courtney Stockland on Seaton Street:<\/b> &#8220;[The project] is a runaway train, please press the brakes.
